White Mangrove Pics

Laguncularia racemosa...aka white mangrove stands proud, higher on the beach than its cousins black (Avicennia germinans) and red (Rhizophoria mangle) mangrove. These plants can stant tall like a tree or be trimmed (above 6 feet) short like a bush.  When they are close to other plants and trees, the trunk and branches will bend, twist toward the light; sometimes completely sideways and sometimes strait up really tall.

White mangroves, black mangroves and buttonwood.

Can you tell which is which?
